Dialogues Between Humans and Neural Networks, and Emigration Attitudes in the New Issue of "Experimental Psychology" Journal

A new issue of the "Experimental Psychology" journal (No. 2, 2025) has been published.

The issue opens with the "Editorial" section featuring congratulations on the anniversary of prominent Russian psychologist V.I. Panov.

Following this is the journal's traditional "Psychology of Perception" section, presenting two new studies. The research by Barabanshchikov V.A. examines patterns in perceiving uni- and multimodal expressions of human affective states. The next article by Petukhov A.Yu., Polevoy S.A., Loskota I.V., Morozova N.S., Krasnitsky N.V. analyzes characteristics of individuals' emotional states when exposed to external audiovisual stimuli.

The "Psychophysiology" section also includes two new studies. The work by Yudakov K.S., Gladilin D.L., Apanovich V.V., Aramyan E.A., Alexandrov Yu.I. is part of a series of publications within a major research project studying procedural characteristics of learning. The study by Volkova E.V., Volkova N.E. continues a series of experiments investigating connections between micro- and meso-levels of coping intelligence.

Next is the "Social Psychology" section, represented in this issue by one new article. The paper by Kuznetsova S.A., Shreiner A.A. examines the relationship between emigration attitudes among Russian residents and their perceptions of time and life circumstances.

The "Psychology of Digital Reality" section features two new studies. The work by Shamshev A.A., Selivanov V.V. investigates structural differences between human-to-human dialogues and human-to-neural network dialogues. The study by Pavlova E.P., Doronina T.V. explores the impact of interactions with marine animals (such as dolphins and belugas in animal-assisted therapy) on human psycho-emotional states in both real-world and virtual reality (VR) settings.

The "Personality Psychology" section includes one new study this time. In their work, Saunin K.A. tests the hypothesis about significant correlations between individual psychological characteristics and stress resistance levels.

The "Psychodiagnostics" section presents three new studies. The research by Korzhova E.Yu., Zhu F., Veselova E.K. aimed to adapt the Russian-language Significant Situations Behavior Strategies Questionnaire (SSBSQ) for Chinese. The study by Shestova M.A., Kozhukhar K.A. focused on testing a modified version of the Aesthetic Experience Questionnaire (AEQ-NmA) adapted for new media art on a Russian-speaking sample. The article by Bekhter A.A. presents results of preliminary adaptation of the Russian version of the Utrecht Proactive Coping Competence Questionnaire (UPCC).

The "Tools" section includes two new studies. The article by Lyusin D.V., Sysoeva T.A. describes the ENRuN database (Emotional Norms for Russian Nouns) containing emotional valence ratings for Russian nouns. The research by Kustova G.V., Isakulyan E.L., Gersamia A.G., Zinchuk M.S., Gekht A.B. analyzed psychometric properties of the Russian version of the six-item Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K-6) and its comparison with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).

The issue concludes with the "Work Psychology and Engineering Psychology" section, featuring one new study. The work by Kuravsky L.S., Greshnikov I.I., Glukhova E.D., Yuriev G.A., Yurieva N.E., Polyakov B.Yu., Sokolov A.V., Makhortov I.A., Kislitsyna E.D. examines methods for evaluating human-machine interfaces in cockpit environments based on objective assessment of pilots' states using modern approaches.
