On October 14, the opening ceremony of the final stage of the XII All-Russian Competition "Best Inclusive School of Russia" 2025 was held at MSUPE.
The competition movement for the development of inclusive education has truly become all-Russian; this competition annually generates new solutions and gives participants the opportunity to learn from each other.
Forty organizations from across the country, selected by the competition jury based on the results of the correspondence stage, are taking part in the in-person final stage.
The correspondence federal stage involved 56 schools, 57 kindergartens, 23 children's recreation and health improvement organizations, and 33 resource organizations from 67 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In total, 169 organizations that were winners of the regional stages of the competition participated.
First Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Alexander Vyacheslavovich Bugaev, in his video address, noted:
"This competition is a special event because it concerns organizations within the education system: from kindergartens and schools, both inclusive and correctional, to children's recreation and health improvement organizations. Inclusion is not just about education; it is about respect, equal opportunities, and trust. It is precisely these values that shape the future of our country."
The Chair of the jury for the main nomination of the competition - "Best Inclusive School," Director of the Federal Center for the Development of Inclusive General and Additional Education at MSUPE, Svetlana Vladimirovna Alekhina, introduced the members of the nomination's jury and addressed the participants:
"Here — this is just a competition. Your most important competition is every day in the kindergarten, school, or camp, where you welcome children and look into the eyes of their parents. So, don't worry, just show everything you are capable of."
The Chair of the jury in the nomination "Best Inclusive Kindergarten," Vice-Rector for Additional Education at the Non-State Educational Private Institution of Higher Education "International University of Psycho-Pedagogical Innovations," Oksana Georgievna Prikhodko; the Chair of the jury in the nomination "Best Inclusive Children's Recreation and Health Improvement Organization," Head of the Center for the Development of Children's Recreation and Health Improvement at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Additional Education for Children "Center for Comprehensive Child Development 'Progress'," Elena Yuryevna Pisareva; and the Chair of the jury in the nomination "Best Resource Organization for the Development of Inclusive Education," Director of School No. 2124 of Moscow "Center for Development and Correction," Adelya Damirovna Vilsanskaya, introduced their colleagues and offered words of encouragement to the participants.
On behalf of all the competition's partners, the participants were greeted by Elena Yuryevna Klochko, founder and chairperson of the board of the All-Russian Organization of Parents of Children with Disabilities. She emphasized that the development of inclusion today is the key to the development of an inclusive society as a whole and a worthy future for new generations.
The in-person federal stage will last for 2 days, and on October 16, Russia will learn the winners of the competition in four nominations.
