All-Russian Congress on Youth Policy and Educational Activities Underway in Moscow

Moscow is hosting the National Congress on Youth Policy and Education from December 17 to 19. The event has gathered 600 vice-rectors and heads of youth policy and education from universities across Russia.

Participants will hold working sessions on key issues regarding the implementation of youth policy and educational activities, discussing the development vectors for educational work in 2025, taking into account the objectives of the national project "Youth and Children" and the Strategy for the Implementation of Youth Policy in the Russian Federation until 2030.

MSUPE is being represented at the congress by Olesya Valentinovna Vikhristyuk, Vice-Rector for Educational and Socio-Psychological Work.

The congress was opened by honorary guests, including Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education. His deputy, Olga Petrova, took part in a session on implementing the "Youth and Children" national project.

In her address, Deputy Minister Petrova stressed that all current efforts are focused on achieving Russia's national development goals, as set by the President.

"We face new challenges, the solutions to which have been defined by Russia's leadership. The entire higher education community, representatives of the youth policy and educational activities sphere must consolidate efforts to achieve national goals. Today, we are already working on two flagship projects: 'Creating a Network of Modern Campuses' and 'Universities for a Generation of Leaders.' It is planned that thanks to these two initiatives, by 2030, no less than 75 percent of young people will be covered by professional self-realization activities," emphasized Olga Petrova.

The National Congress is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The Ministry is undertaking comprehensive work to establish a unified system for youth policy and education in universities, which includes fostering professional networks among vice-rectors in this field.
