Dear MSUPE postgraduate students!

With all our hearts, on behalf of the faculty of our university – those who once sat at the same desks, who also wrote dissertation chapters at night, who also reread the same articles until the letters seemed to blur, who also feared answering the committee's questions yet dreamed of changing science – we congratulate you on Postgraduate Student's Day!

We remember how hard it was to get up in the morning after a sleepless night, when you were double-checking your statistics for the last time, and on the screen – «p > 0.05».

We remember how we first heard: «Your work has scientific novelty» – and felt the world become a little broader.

We remember taking postgraduate exams, with spring outside the window, while you were in the library, in silence, alone, but with the thought: «This is important. This is necessary.»

And that is precisely why we – your mentors, professors, doctors of science, former postgraduate students – know just how strong you are.

You are not merely students continuing their education.

You are scientific explorers, thinkers of a new generation, keepers of that very spark that once ignited our love for science.

You do not just study the human psyche – you uncover its mysteries.

You do not just analyze pedagogical practices – you create their future.

You do not just write dissertations – you write the history of Russian psychological and pedagogical science.

With all our hearts, from those who have walked this path – we wish you:

  • Not to lose faith in yourself, even when it seems everything is stalling – because it is in moments of doubt that true scientific depth is born.
  • To find inspiration in small things – in a student's word, in a child's reaction to your method, in an unexpected experimental result.
  • Not to be afraid of making mistakes – because every «failure» is a step towards a new discovery.
  • To maintain balance – between science and life, between dissertation and sleep, between publications and peace of mind. Science is a long marathon, not a sprint.
  • To surround yourself with people who inspire – colleagues, mentors, friends who say «You can do it» even when you are unsure yourself.
  • To enjoy the process – the search, the reflection, the gradual assembly of a picture no one has seen before.
  • To write so that you will be read in 10 years – so your ideas become the foundation for new research, not just «a database entry».
  • To have the courage to ask questions no one has answered yet – these are the ones that lead to breakthroughs.
  • Not to forget why you started – for the sake of children, for teachers, for society, for science to be not an abstraction but a living tool for change.
  • And, of course – to receive grants, publish in K1 journals, defend with distinction, become a professor, lead a laboratory, write a textbook used in universities across Russia...
  • And also – not to forget to rejoice in small victories: the first publication, the first conference report, the first warm feedback from your supervisor, the first «thank you» from a student your work helped.

We – your mentors – are proud of you already now.

We see you speaking at All-Russian conferences with conviction that cannot be taught in lectures.

We see you helping each other – double-checking statistics, discussing methods, sharing tea and support.

We see you growing – not only as scientists but as individuals.

And we know: your future is the future of MSUPE.

And this future – is bright, strong, profound, and humane.

Happy Postgraduate Student's Day, dear researchers!

May your hypotheses be correct,

may your data be reliable,

may your articles be cited,

may your ideas change the world,

and may your heart always remain open to new knowledge and kindness.

Thank you for your work.

Thank you for not giving up.

Thank you for continuing the cause to which you have dedicated your lives.

We – your mentors. We – your allies. We – your steadfast supporters.

And we – are with you. Always.

With respect and deepest gratitude,

The Faculty of MSUPE – former postgraduate students who today are proud of you as if you were ourselves

P.S. If you ever get tired – come to room 213. We are always there with tea, with understanding, and with a copy of your first dissertation chapter – because we remember:

every great scientist was once a postgraduate student who simply did not give up.
