From Speech Development to Educational Practices: New Issue of the Journal "Autism and Developmental Disorders" Published

A new issue of the journal "Autism and Developmental Disorders" (No. 1, 2026) has been published, dedicated to contemporary research and support practices for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The issue brings together scientific articles and practice-oriented materials reflecting current directions in the study of speech development, the effectiveness of early interventions, and educational technologies.

The issue includes two sections – "ASD Research" and "Pedagogical Experience." The "ASD Research" section features works dedicated to key cognitive and speech mechanisms in ASD development. The article by M.A. Adilzhanova and O.I. Illarionova examines the features of verb vocabulary formation and prefrontal synthesis in preschoolers with ASD. The work by V.P. Berezutskaya presents a review of quasi-experimental studies on the effectiveness of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).

The "Pedagogical Experience" section publishes materials aimed at solving practical problems of teaching and supporting children with ASD. Approaches to developing life competencies in primary school children within a resource classroom are considered (A.A. Sankova, S.V. Rusinova), as well as methods for increasing parental competence through specialized training programs (T.G. Lukovenko, V.A. Shovkun).

The issue concludes with a press release for the annual X All-Russian Inclusive Festival "#LyudiKakLyudi" (People Like People) , timed to coincide with World Autism Awareness Day (April 2) .
