MSUPE Department of Ethnopsychology Serves as Co-Organizer and Participant in Interuniversity Conference of Young Scientists at MPGU

On June 1, the XI Interuniversity Conference of Young Scientists "From Childhood to Adulthood: Variations of Norm and Developmental Features" was held at Moscow State Pedagogical University (MPGU). The Department of Ethnopsychology and Psychological Problems of Multicultural Education of the Faculty of Social Psychology at MSUPE served as a co-organizer of the conference.

Olga Sergeevna Pavlova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Ethnopsychology and Psychological Problems of Multicultural Education at MSUPE, delivered a plenary report: "Personality Formation in the Space of Culture: Navigating Between Collectivism and Individualism – From Cultural Matrices to Hybrid Strategies."

Students from the department's master's programs "Practical Ethnopsychology" and "Cross-Cultural Technologies in Psychological Counseling" participated in the conference with the following reports:

  • Daria Belyaeva – Relationship between the perception of architectural objects and the degree of religiosity and ethnic identity: a subjective-semantic analysis.
  • Ekaterina Vdovichenko – Social perception of portraits of representatives of different ethnic groups in hiring situations.
  • Nadezhda Korosteleva – The concept of the "niche of development" as a theoretical basis for studying the process of enculturation.
  • Natalia Bulycheva – The ideal and real image of the mother among Russian women: results of a qualitative study.

Associate Professors of the department Natalia Vladimirovna Tkachenko and Elena Andreevna Alexandrova moderated the section "Human Development in the Context of Culture and Education."

Cooperation between major Russian universities in the field of social and cultural anthropology is an important direction for personnel training and the development of interdisciplinary interaction.
