Subject National Aggregated Ranking 2026: MSUPE Holds Leading Positions in the Premier League

The Guild of Experts in the Field of Vocational Education, together with the National Foundation for Supporting Innovations in Education, has compiled the latest Subject National Aggregated Ranking.

MSUPE holds leading positions in the Premier League of the Subject National Aggregated Ranking in the enlarged group of training areas 37.00.00 Psychological Sciences (highest scores in all positions), in the Premier League in the enlarged group of training areas 44.00.00 Education and Pedagogical Sciences (highest scores in all positions), and in the Premier League in the field 39.00.00 Sociology and Social Work (the only one among universities subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Education).

The ranking covers all universities in Russia by enlarged groups of specialties and training areas (UGSN), allowing for a correct comparison of the diversity of educational programs. In fact, these are 55 separate rankings in subject areas covering the entire spectrum of education in the country.

The main innovation of the 2026 version is the adaptive nature of the vector for constructing the final assessment. Previously, it was assumed that all 8 rankings were equally applicable to all enlarged groups of specialties and training areas (UGSN). This approach has now been revised.

The results of subject rankings in which a university cannot be objectively assessed (for example, due to lack of data or the specificity of the UGSN) are excluded from the calculation.

Subject rankings are a precise tool for assessing a university's achievements in specific areas of science or professional training. A place in the Premier League is an indicator of a high level of program implementation and overall quality of education.
