Scientific Research in the Field of Childhood: VIII All-Russian Conference on the Implementation of the Decade of Childhood to be Held in Moscow
On June 10, the Russian Ministry of Education will hold the annual VIII All-Russian Conference on the Implementation of the Decade of Childhood "Scientific Research in the Field of Childhood. New Solutions for the Well-Being of Children and Families with Children" in Moscow. This year, the conference theme focuses on ensuring a scientific approach to the well-being of every child.
The conference will examine the results of scientific research and their practical application in the areas of health preservation, education and upbringing of the younger generation, culture, physical culture and sports, safety (including information security), the well-being of families with children, and others. The conference program includes a plenary session and four mini-plenums dedicated to Decade of Childhood issues:
- "Health Preservation from Childhood"
- "Well-Being of Families with Children with Disabilities and Disabled Children"
- "Comprehensive Development, Learning, and Upbringing of Children"
- "Safety of Children"
The conference is attended by Senators of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights, members of the Coordination Council under the Government of the Russian Federation for the Decade of Childhood in the Russian Federation and heads of its working groups, representatives of federal and regional executive authorities involved in implementing the Decade of Childhood, as well as relevant non-profit, scientific, and other interested organizations.
Galina Vladimirovna Semya, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor at the Department of Developmental Psychology named after L.F. Obukhova, MSUPE, will speak at the plenary session. She will present the results of the fundamental study "Psychological Portrait of Contemporary Children and Adolescents and Conditions for Their Well-Being," conducted in 2025 by order of the Russian Ministry of Education (142,000 children from 76 regions participated). For the set of educational and training programs for teachers and parents developed based on this study, the scientific team (department) led by G.V. Semya was awarded a Letter of Gratitude from the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Education – for an effective practical solution in the field of education as part of research in priority scientific areas.
