On the Essence and Origins of Activity-Based Psychotechnique – in the Journal "Cultural-Historical Psychology"
The second issue of 2026 of the journal "Cultural-Historical Psychology" (No. 2, 2026) has been published. The issue includes four traditional sections: Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Empirical Research, and Psychotherapy and Psychocorrection.
In the "Developmental Psychology" section, one can gain an understanding of the connection between irony comprehension and theory of mind and behavior regulation, the development of emotion understanding in preschoolers; the phenomenon of children's storytelling and improvisation in adult women; how parental behavior and attitudes affect their children's use of mobile devices; and the features of the social situation of development in infants.
In the "Educational Psychology" section, one can familiarize oneself with the results of research on the motivation of respect for parents using the example of Russian and Arab students, and the relationship between well-being and activity engagement in students.
Authors in the "Empirical Research" section introduce the reader to the graphic method "Trajectory" and the results of studying the features of perception of life changes in Uzbek culture.
In the "Psychotherapy and Psychocorrection" section, an analysis of the phenomenon of activity-based psychotechnique and the results of a survey of expert narcologists on the prospects of applying motivational psychotherapy for persons with substance use disorders are presented.
