On August 17, the Dean of the Faculty of Extreme Psychology at MSUPE, Dmitry Vladimirovich Deulin, presented a report on "The Problem of Preventing the Development of Destructive Behaviour Patterns Among Young People" at the Forum of Educators of the Moscow Region – in the section "Safe Environment in Educational Organisations: Key Directions for the 2026/2027 Academic Year."
The section's work was dedicated to ensuring the safety of children and educational organisations in the context of contemporary threats. During the discussion, experts examined issues of anti-terrorist security of educational facilities, prevention of destructive manifestations among students, as well as the risks of involving minors in cybercrime and extremist activities. The participants paid special attention to the early identification of signs of children's involvement in unlawful activities, the organisation of preventive work, and the establishment of effective interdepartmental cooperation.
The section was opened with a welcoming address by the Minister of Education of the Moscow Region, Ingrid Valeryevna Pildes. The event was attended by representatives of educational organisations – directors of gymnasiums, secondary schools, and colleges; psychologists, teachers, social workers, educators, and researchers – as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies and relevant associations: the prosecutor's office, internal affairs bodies, the Federal Security Service, regional security bodies, and the legal community.
In his presentation, Dmitry Vladimirovich cited alarming statistics on crimes of a terrorist and extremist nature for 2026 (data from the Main Information and Analytical Centre of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs). He highlighted the psychological features of adolescence and the pubertal crisis, explained the content of psychological new formations, and identified predictor and protective factors that may either contribute to or prevent children's involvement in criminal activity.
Furthermore, the speaker analysed the information-psychological mechanisms behind the spread of destructive subcultures and the growth of various forms of deviant and delinquent behaviour among minors in the information space. He concluded by presenting a comprehensive approach to the prevention of the formation of destructive behaviour patterns among young people and outlined mechanisms for preventing the involvement of adolescents in prohibited communities and the commission of crimes.
