On June 20, the admissions campaign began for pedagogical universities under the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Education. In the 2025/26 academic year, 36 educational institutions are offering students more than 37,000 state-funded places. Applicants have the right to apply for bachelor's and specialist programs at five pedagogical universities simultaneously and choose up to five specialties or fields of study at each university.

"Following the results of the 2024 admissions campaign, pedagogical programs once again became among the most popular among applicants. We sincerely appreciate and support young people's desire to participate in the development of the education system and upbringing of future generations. I note that 70% of students in our pedagogical universities study on state-funded basis. Moreover, starting from this academic year, the best students will have the opportunity to qualify for special named scholarships for outstanding academic achievements. I am confident that in this admission campaign we will maintain the level of demand for pedagogical programs," commented Sergei Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation.

The deadline for applications for bachelor's and specialist programs is July 25 (state-funded places). For master's programs, applicants can submit documents from June 20 to August 20 (for state-funded places).

Starting from 2025, when applying to pedagogical universities, applicants can submit their education documents through the "Gosuslugi" portal. For enrollment, it is also necessary to provide consent for admission to a specific institution.

Young people can enroll in pedagogical universities for programs with two or three training profiles, which significantly increases the prospects for professional self-determination. Also for graduates entering pedagogical programs under targeted training, the number of points for individual achievements has been increased this year: ten points for general achievements and five for career guidance activities.
