
We invite you to participate in the Strategic Session "Russia and Neighboring Countries" on developing the regional section of the International Society ofCultural-Historical Activity Research (ISCAR), which will be held as part of the IX ISCAR International Summer University for PhD students and early-career researchers "Practices Based on Cultural-Historical Psychology and Activity Theory."
The Strategic Session invites department heads, leaders of research units, faculty members, PhD students and early-career researchers, and master's students from higher education institutions whose research, educational program development, and methodologies are based on the ideas of cultural-historical psychology and activity theory.
The Strategic Session will take place on August 14, 2025, at 15:00 in online format.
The goal of the Strategic Session is to discuss development plans for the ISCAR Regional Section for 2025-2027.
Session objectives:
- Informing the community about ISCAR activities, the ISCAR Regional Section uniting Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and membership opportunities in ISCAR
- Presenting plans for the ISCAR Regional Conference in 2026 and the ISCAR Congress in Cape Town (South Africa) in 2027
- Discussing promising directions and forms of cooperation between scientific communities of countries in the ISCAR Regional Section, with scholars from friendly countries within ISCAR
- Formulating plans for joint research, practice-oriented science projects, and publications implementing the ideas of cultural-historical psychology and activity theory

- Vitaly Vladimirovich Rubtsov, President of MSUPE, Head of the UNESCO Chair "Cultural-Historical Psychology of Childhood" at MSUPE, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor
