On February 11, the Regional Forum "Inclusive Higher Pedagogical Education: Trends and Development Prospects" was held in Kolomna, Moscow Region. The forum brought together experts from Resource Educational and Methodological Centers (RUMC) for training individuals with disabilities, educators from 6 universities and 17 colleges and technical schools from across Russia, totaling 120 participants.
During the plenary session of the forum, T.S. Ivanova, Director of the RUMC at MSUPE, delivered a report titled "The Mission and Strategic Focus of Inclusive Higher Education." Tatyana Semenovna spoke about the mission and strategic focus of inclusive higher education, highlighting its importance in building a fair, comfortable, and effective society where every person has the opportunity to realize their potential.
In a blended format (in-person and online), participants discussed current issues in the development of inclusion within the higher pedagogical education system:
- Creating equal opportunities for all students
- Contemporary challenges in the field of inclusion
- The importance of network interaction between universities and colleges
The forum was hosted by the State University of Humanities and Social Studies, a partner university of the RUMC at MSUPE. It served as a powerful platform for exchanging experiences and seeking solutions that make education accessible to everyone.
