On February 17, the first meeting of the CST Supervision Club took place — the first club in Russia aimed at providing targeted professional support to specialists in Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST). The meeting brought together ten specialists from five Russian cities who had completed the advanced training program “Cognitive Stimulation Therapy: Basic Principles and Practical Application in Gerontology and Geriatrics” at the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE).

During the session, participants received professional support from the program leaders and discussed a case of CST implementation in a residential care facility for older adults.

The CST Support Club is led by:

  • Anna A. Shvedovskaya, Candidate of Science (Psychology), Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Developmental Psychology named after Professor L.F. Obukhova, MSUPE.
  • Marina V. Kalantarova, Senior Lecturer, Department of Neuro- and Pathopsychology of Development, MSUPE.

Club meetings are planned to be held monthly, with each session lasting two hours.

To participate in upcoming CST Club meetings, applicants are required to complete a registration form.

More information about the “Cognitive Stimulation Therapy” method is available on the website.

In 2023, the methodological manual «Making a difference: Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST)» was published for specialists conducting group sessions within the Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) program. The manual is provided to participants who successfully complete the CST professional development program.
