Faculty of Social Communication Announces the Start of the III International Social Projects Competition "Upgrade 2030"
The Faculty of Social Communication is now accepting applications for the III International Social Projects Competition "Upgrade 2030."
The goal of the competition is to develop socially oriented civic initiatives among youth in the context of shaping the educational environment of the School of the Future.
Key objectives:
- Engaging students in socially significant project activities.
- Supporting socially oriented initiatives of young people.
- Developing students' experience in research work.
Participants: Students of educational organizations of the Russian Federation aged 14 to 18 years are invited to participate. Projects may be individual or collective. Projects may have no more than two supervisors.
The competition is held in two stages:
- Submission of required materials by participants for competitive selection: from March 30 to May 10, 2026.
- Selection (remote) stage: from May 10 to May 17, 2026. Expert evaluation of submitted materials.
- Project defense stage: May 22, 2026, in a mixed format. For in-person participants, venues will be provided at the Technopark of Universal Pedagogical Competencies at MSUPE and the Quantorium.

- "Protection of the Rights of Children and Youth"
- "Digitalization of Education"
- "The Role of Upbringing in Personality Development"
- "Support for Persons in Difficult Life Situations"
- "Many Peoples – One Russia"
Each nomination has its own specifics and formats for project presentation (methodological developments, programs, videos, technological maps, etc.). Abstract-type works will not be accepted for the competition.
How to submit an application?
To participate, you must:
- Register the project and upload its presentation by May 10, 2026, using the special form.
- Read the detailed Competition Regulations and Project Requirements.
- Use the template available via the link for designing the presentation.
The "Upgrade 2030" competition is a unique opportunity for young people to propose their ideas and solutions to pressing social problems, receive expert evaluation, and present their project at the international level.
