Final Diagnostics of Meta-Subject Competencies in the Primary School Education System: Webinar on August 18

On August 18 at 12:00 PM (Moscow time) , Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE) invites educators working in foreign general education institutions to participate in the webinar "Diagnostics of Meta-Subject Educational Outcomes of Primary School Graduates: The 'Conflict' and 'Mosaic' Methods".
Speaker: Irina Mikhailovna Ulanovskaya, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Leading Researcher at the Laboratory of Primary School Student Psychology, Federal Scientific Center for Psychological and Interdisciplinary Research.
The webinar will cover:
- The concept of meta-subject educational outcomes in the context of cultural-historical theory.
- Methodological tools for diagnosing the system of meta-subject competencies as a result of primary school education.
- Indicators of the effectiveness of the formation of social meta-subject outcomes using the diagnostic methods "Conflict" and "Mosaic."
What can the webinar offer for pedagogical practice?
- The diagnostic methods allow us to see not only the result but also the method of action. Observing the process (formulations, means of description, role dynamics, reaction to errors) provides a more complete picture of the formation of universal learning actions than simply assessing the correctness of the result.
- The methods show the importance of paying attention to the development of reflection and planning skills through specially organized learning situations. After conducting group work, it is necessary to discuss and connect both aspects of the work: "How did we solve it?" and "How did we reach an agreement?"
- They demonstrate the need for the regular implementation of collaborative learning (where coordination of positions and hypothesis testing is required) to develop students' control and assessment autonomy.
- The diagnostic methods can serve as models for designing learning tasks using subject material.
