President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin Congratulated Educators on Teacher's Day
Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate all instructors and educators of our country, all those who give their strength, energy, and knowledge to the education and upbringing of the younger generations, on the holiday — Teacher's Day.
A teacher is far more than a profession. This is a noble, responsible mission, a true calling that requires wisdom, patience, constant attention to children and students, and the ability to reveal in every child and young person their abilities and best qualities.
Your heartfelt involvement, experience, and sensitivity help students believe in themselves, and your advice, guidance, and support, I am confident, serve as a support for them further in adult life.
It is very important that children, school students, and university students, regardless of where they live, feel themselves part of a large, united country, learn from childhood to respect the diversity of cultures and original traditions of our multi-ethnic people, and understand the strength and significance of the values that have united it for centuries.
Such work by educators must be carried out constantly, and especially now, in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. It is common values and a common vision of the future that at all times have helped us determine our own path and move forward with confidence. We are proud of the heritage created by previous generations, proud of the achievements of our contemporaries, and understand that at the foundation of any successes, victories, and achievements lies the work of the teacher, everything that was laid down in childhood and youth, in school years and student years.
Let me remind you that starting this year, the special status of the educator is enshrined at the state level. This reflects high public recognition of the teacher's mission and guarantees both the necessary support and new opportunities for professional growth and development.
Professional skills competitions play a great role. They not only help support and recognize strong, talented educators but also, very importantly, disseminate interesting, most effective, and advanced practices, working to improve the quality of education as a whole.
We will certainly continue to update, and therefore make more comfortable for both students and teachers, schools, colleges, universities — the entire infrastructure of education. At the same time, it is important to preserve and multiply the best traditions of the national pedagogical school, ensure their continuity, and their harmonious combination with the most modern methodologies.
But no matter what new technologies come to schools, I am confident that the main thing remains unchanged: the personality of the teacher, our respect and gratitude for your daily, fully committed work. It is you who teach thinking, educate character, and inspire good deeds.
Once again, happy holiday! Health and well-being to you and your loved ones.
Happy Teacher's Day!
President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin
