On May 14, the opening of the 10th Anniversary International Scientific-Practical Conference in Memory of M.Yu. Kondratiev "Social Psychology: Theoretical and Practical Issues" took place at MSUPE.
Welcoming the participants, Tatiana Yuryevna Marinova, Dean of the Faculty of Social Psychology at MSUPE, spoke about the history and growing importance of the conference, noting that the current generation of students is well aware of the legacy of the faculty's founder, Mikhail Yuryevich Kondratiev.
At the plenary session, Vladimir Samuilovich Sobkin, Head of the "Center for Sociocultural Problems of Modern Education" Laboratory at the Federal Research Center for Psychological and Multidisciplinary Research (FRC PMI), presented research findings on the socio-psychological characteristics of life positions among students and graduate students.
Elena Pavlovna Belinskaya, Professor at the Department of Social Psychology, Faculty of Psychology, Lomonosov Moscow State University, discussed subjectivity, personal meanings - the understanding of these concepts - and how the identity crisis manifests today.
The report by Elena Nikolaevna Volkova, Leading Researcher at the Federal Research Center for Psychological and Interdisciplinary Research of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, focused on the peculiarities of adolescent friendships in the digital era.
Marianna Evgenievna Sachkova, Professor at the Department of General Psychology, RANEPA, continued the theme and presented new research on the "epidemic of the 21st century" - the loneliness of modern youth, specifically its gender aspects.
The conference continued with presentations in the following areas:
- "Current Issues in the Social Psychology of Personality"
- "Cyberpsychology and Society"
- "Practical Ethnopsychology"
The first day concluded with a roundtable discussion titled "The Scientific Legacy of Mikhail Yuryevich Kondratiev and Its Significance for Practical Social Psychology", where his colleagues and friends shared their memories and experiences of working with this outstanding individual.
