The Department of Ethnopsychology and Psychological Problems of Multicultural Education at the Faculty of Social Psychology, MSUPE, places special emphasis on effective methods for developing the intercultural competence of professionals. The Reader's Club / Cinema Club and the Ethno Club operate on a regular basis.
On February 4 at 6:00 PM (online), as part of the department's scientific-methodological seminar, participants will be introduced to the cinema club format within the narrative approach. The scientific rationale for this format will be presented by expert Margarita Ushakova, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, psychologist, narrative practitioner and supervisor, and moderator of the Baikal International Film Festival "Man and Nature" (2023–2025), Irkutsk.
During the seminar, we will explore several practical techniques and tools of a cinema club within the narrative approach. Together with the expert, we will analyze fragments of a cinema club facilitator's work through the lens of opportunities for developing intercultural competence.
