On September 10–11, the III International Conference on Science and Practice "Davydov's Readings" was held at MSUPE. The conference brought together followers of the scientific school founded by Vasily Davydov, a prominent Russian educator and psychologist. According to the Rector of MSUPE, A.A. Margolis, the university has become a response to the demand for qualified personnel who can make a qualitative change in education.
During the conference, participants discussed both theoretical and practical aspects of activity-based learning and developmental education. One of the main topics was the development of diagnostic systems that meet the needs of modern education, such as assessing students' basic learning skills. Experts also discussed the integration of experimental research and projects into school curricula, as well as the use of play and learning activities in adolescence, and the training of teachers for "new schools" and active learning technologies for children with different health conditions, including those in palliative care settings.
Local and Moscow experts shared their experiences with successful students who achieved success through the cultural and historic approach to teaching. Experienced teachers also demonstrated lessons. The conference included a book presentation by Professor V.V. Rubtsov, president of MSU, reflecting the results of his many years of work in socio-genetics psychology. V.V Rubtsov said that "tradition is strong because it evolves."
