On June 12 and 13, students and staff of MSUPE visited the XV Moscow International Festival of Contemporary Art "Traditions and Modernity." The large-scale cultural event brought together more than 80 galleries and independent artists from Russia and foreign countries, including Italy, France, China, Turkey, Iran, and many other nations of Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The festival exhibition covered eight key areas of contemporary art: painting, sculpture, photography, digital and applied art, installation, museum work, and for the first time, jewelry art. This wide range allowed visitors to experience both academic works and bold experiments by authors in materials, imagery, and performance.

As part of the festival, students and staff attended a panel discussion "Space as a Territory of Imagination: How Art Shapes the Image of the Future," a journalism master class by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova, as well as panel discussions on the topics "The Influence of Religion on Contemporary Art" and "Futurism: How Art Predicts Technology (Using the Legacy of K.E. Tsiolkovsky)."
