On June 19–20, the Forum for Childhood Specialists helping children with socially significant diseases, organized by the "Children+" Charitable Foundation, took place.

The forum addressed issues of comprehensive support for children with socially significant diseases, the challenges of interaction between various specialists in their support system, and identifying the main needs of children and their parents.

The forum was attended by representatives from various charitable foundations, resource centers, and medical institutions involved in the rehabilitation, adaptation, and socialization of persons with disabilities.

Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE) was represented at the forum by the Head of the Department of Special Psychology and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Clinical and Special Psychology, Candidate of Psychological Sciences Yulia Evgenievna Kurtanova.

Yulia Evgenievna presented a report "Increasing Treatment Adherence in Adolescents with Diabetes and After Organ Transplantation," in which she presented a developed psychological training program for adolescents with various diseases aimed at increasing their treatment adherence, as well as the results of a study evaluating the program's effectiveness.

The issue of treatment adherence in adolescents with chronic somatic diseases is highly relevant. Maintaining the physical health and quality of life of children in need of long-term treatment depends on its solution.

The second day of the conference was dedicated to familiarization with best practices in the field of helping children with HIV and other socially significant diseases.
