PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The program is focused on the training of specialists who are able to identify and analyze the developmental disorders in children of different ages and develop complex programs and activities that contribute to the normalization of child development or compensation for a pronounced developmental defect. The program also provides training in research of the development of individual and group programs, methods and approaches to psychological correction of the development of children with various mental development disorders.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Graduates know the fundamentals of psychological correction of mental development disorders in children, and they are able to apply them competently in practice. They are also capable of developing new programs and methods of correction, guided by humanistic ideas about working with children with disabilities and their families. Gained knowledge and skills can be used for:
  • psychological and pedagogical correction of developmental disorders in children;
  • prevention of mental development disorders in children;
  • prevention of secondary developmental disorders in children with disabilities;
  • psychological and pedagogical support for the development of children with disabilities.

CAREER AND FURTHER STUDY OPPORTUNITIES

You can hold the position in special preschool and school educational institutions, centers for psychological and pedagogical rehabilitation and correction.
