Professional Development: Organizing Children's Participation in Decisions Affecting Their Lives
The Faculty of Professional Development at MSUPE invites you to the program "Organizing Children's Participation in Decisions Affecting Their Lives (Using Electronic Content)".
The program is designed for specialists working with children and families: psychologists, educators, lawyers, social workers, and coordinators of socio-psychological projects.
The course covers the legal basis for involving children in decision-making, theoretical models, and practical case studies on child participation. The program describes practical tools for organizing children's participation in decision-making and in the evaluation of social projects.
The goal of the program is to enhance competencies in the field of socio-psychological assistance to children.
The program is distinguished by its rich informational content. Each module has been developed by highly qualified specialists engaged in both research and practice.
Upon completing the training, you will master the following topics and knowledge:
- Cultural-historical, legal, psychological, and ethical aspects of children's participation in decisions affecting their lives.
- Key models, formats, and degrees of children's participation in decision-making when interacting with social welfare, healthcare, judicial systems, and crime prevention services.
- Children's participation in the evaluation of social projects: significance, organization, processing of results, and presentation formats for children.
- Participation in decision-making for children in difficult life situations or with disabilities.
You will learn to practically apply:
- Integrating measures for assessing children's opinions into the design of preventive and correctional-developmental programs.
- Developing a plan for conducting evaluations with children's participation.
- Presenting evaluation results to child participants.
- Analyzing and synthesizing information from research involving children, and presenting your theoretical and professional findings to other specialists.
