Master's Students of the Faculty of Distance Learning at MSUPE to Participate in the Festival "Time for Good. Summer"
On August 8, in Sokolniki Park, as part of the citywide festival "Time for Good. Summer", a tent of the charitable project "First Psychological Aid" will be operating. Festival visitors will be able to learn about the project's activities and receive free psychological support.
Throughout the day, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, volunteer psychologists from the Faculty of Distance Learning at MSUPE – Milena Kazieva and Galina Korolenko – will conduct 15-minute sessions for all interested visitors. These sessions will allow festival guests to get acquainted with the work of the "First Psychological Aid" Helpline specialists: to speak out, find support, or simply have a conversation. This will help visitors better understand the prospects and goals for further work with a psychologist.
"Working on the Helpline teaches us to help people in crisis situations with care and effectiveness. We are ready to apply these skills in face-to-face communication at the festival", note Galina and Milena, MSUPE students.
Milena Kazieva will also conduct a psycho-corrective program, "Life Scenario Editing," for festival guests. Using the metaphor of filmmaking, participants will be able to reinterpret personal experiences, recognize maladaptive life scenarios, and find new ways of responding in difficult situations.
Participation in the festival confirms that for master's students, summer is not only a time for rest and expanding their experimental sample but also an opportunity to develop professional competencies by helping people through volunteer work.
