
On August 27, a regional congress of educational psychologists was held in Voronezh at the MBOU Secondary School No. 107 named after K.D. Ushinsky. The event aimed to discuss current issues facing the regional system of psychological and pedagogical support.
More than 700 specialists participated in the congress (educational psychologists from all levels of education from every municipality of the Voronezh Region, specialists from the Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical, and Social Assistance, and employees of the Center for Psychological and Pedagogical Support and Child Development).
The attendees were welcomed by Larisa Pavlovna Falkovskaya, Director of the Department of State Policy for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
Federal experts who spoke included:
- Svetlana Vladimirovna Alyokhina, Director of the Federal Center for the Development of Inclusive General and Additional Education at MSUPE;
- Olga Leonidovna Yurchuk, Deputy Head of the Federal Coordination Center for Ensuring the Development of Psychological and Pedagogical Assistance in the Education System of the Russian Federation (FCC MSUPE).
The federal experts spoke about the need to transition from a segmented approach to building a holistic system of personalized support for every child at all levels of education.
Delivering a report titled "Key Guidelines for Psychological and Pedagogical Support of Participants in Educational Relations" at the plenary session of the congress, O.L. Yurchuk noted the positive experience of the Voronezh Region in applying advanced approaches to providing schools with specialized specialists and emphasized the importance of strengthening preventive work with students while maintaining individual corrective assistance in crisis situations to prevent destructive manifestations.
Olga Leonidovna familiarized the audience with the main regulatory documents governing activities for supporting participants in educational relations: the Strategy for the Comprehensive Safety of Children in the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2030 (approved May 2023) and the Concept for the Development of the System of Psychological and Pedagogical Assistance in General Education and Secondary Vocational Education in the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2030 (approved June 2024). "It is necessary for leaders to correctly assess the role of the psychologist in the pedagogical team. When work is done preventively, the environment becomes more favorable for children," the expert emphasized.
The speaker elaborated on the consideration of the basic principles of providing psychological and pedagogical assistance to participants in educational relations. The coverage of the issue of methodological support from the FCC MSUPE team garnered particular interest in this context.
Additionally, the congress participants listened attentively to the Deputy Head of the FCC's account of the All-Russian Competition for the Implementation of Comprehensive Preventive Measures to Form a Favorable Socio-Psychological Climate "#SchoolWithoutInsults" (conducted with the support of the Council under the Government of the Russian Federation on Trusteeship in the Social Sphere, organized by the Russian Ministry of Education, and operated by the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education).
Following the discussion of issues, the congress participants noted the relevance of the information received and the necessity of considering it when developing and approving the regional Concept for the Functioning and Development of the System of Psychological and Pedagogical Assistance for 2025–2030.
