Third-year students of the Faculty of "Information Technology" at MSUPE, future directors of film and television, gathered in a hall of the Tretyakov Gallery for an unusual art seminar, which took place within the space of the exhibition of book graphics by May Petrovich Miturich-Khlebnikov.

The exhibition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great illustrator and painter. Children of many generations have imagined the characters from their favorite books by Agniya Barto, Korney Chukovsky, Gennady Snegirev, and Rudyard Kipling exactly as May Petrovich drew them. The world of his drawings is dynamic and bright. Yet, to this day, there is not a single animated film created in the aesthetic of this animalist artist. Why?

It was precisely this question that the future multimedia directors pondered, as they were tasked with creating storyboards for the illustrations and imagining the characters in the modern world of digital animation.

The students watched and discussed the film installation "May Miturich-Khlebnikov. Trajectories of Space" by our university's graduate, director Dmitry Volgin, shot based on a script by MSUPE associate professor Elena Ermakova. The film was shown non-stop at the exhibition.
