Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, and Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, congratulated leaders of clubs and sections, teachers of creative studios, sports club coaches, educational organizers, and methodologists.
"As our President Vladimir Putin stated, it is high-quality education that is the guarantee that our country can solve the most complex tasks and achieve scientific and technological leadership. Thanks to the national project 'Youth and Children,' wide opportunities for supplementary education have been created in Russia. Over 17 million children and adolescents are engaged in clubs and sections. Under the attentive guidance of teachers, they realize their potential, develop their talents, and absorb traditional spiritual and moral values. I thank supplementary education workers for their contribution to the future of our children! I wish you good health, new ideas, and professional success!" stated Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The head of the Russian Ministry of Education, Sergey Kravtsov, noted that today supplementary education is accessible to every child aged 5–18.
"We pay special attention to the development of the children's supplementary education system: we scale up successful practices and actively expand the network of creative associations. School theaters and museums, sports clubs, and choral ensembles are becoming platforms where children can not only acquire new skills but also find like-minded peers, learn mutual understanding, and strengthen their self-confidence. It is important that every child has the opportunity to find their calling and unlock their abilities," said Sergey Kravtsov.
Today, 329 "IT-Cubes," 464 "Kvantoriums," and over 19,000 "Growth Points" are open in Russia. In more than 37,500 schools, there are over 41,300 theater groups, more than 38,500 sports clubs, over 30,000 museums, and more than 7,300 choral ensembles.
Clubs and sections are opening in educational institutions as part of the national project "Youth and Children." The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation acts as the coordinator for all key directions of the Concept for the Development of Supplementary Education for Children for 2025–2030. Methodological support for the constituent entities of the Russian Federation is provided by the Center for Comprehensive Child Development "Progress," established under the Ministry.
