According to the MSUPE Vice-Rector, a personnel crisis is currently observed in the teaching profession worldwide, which must be overcome, as the well-being of the educator directly affects their relationships with students.
Among the signs of psychological distress in educators are:
- High levels of emotional exhaustion (burnout)
- Stress
- Depressive symptoms
- Low organizational commitment
- Low engagement
- High motivation to leave the profession
Sergey Kosaretsky specifically focused on the symptoms of burnout, methods for its prevention, and opportunities for supporting the psychological well-being of educators at a systemic level.
