On October 9-10, the Russian Red Cross held the II All-Russian Forum "The Power of Support." The event brought together over 300 specialists from across the country – leaders, psychologists, volunteers, and representatives of the non-profit sector. They discussed how to provide psychological assistance today and protect professionals in helping professions from burnout.

Within the framework of the discussion platform "Trajectory of Development of Psychological Assistance for Various Population Categories," the following individuals spoke:

  • Maria Sergeevna Mukhina, Executive Director of the Russian Red Cross;
  • Yulia Sergeevna Shoigu, Director of the Center for Emergency Psychological Assistance of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations;
  • Olga Leonidovna Yurchuk, Deputy Head of the Federal Coordination Center for Ensuring the Development of Psychological and Pedagogical Services in the Russian Education System (FCC MSUPE);
  • Valeria Yuryevna Chertovikova, Founder of the "Being Human" Psychological Assistance Foundation.

In her speech, the MSUPE expert spoke about the complex tasks facing psychologists and educator-psychologists in the field of education, outlining the main areas in which psychological assistance is provided to participants in educational relations.

Emphasizing that the best prevention of crises is increasing the psychological literacy of parents, teachers, and the children themselves, the Deputy Head of the FCC MSUPE spoke about the center's coordination and expert-methodological activities. This work allows for the consolidation of efforts by educational psychologists across the country towards the psychological prevention of crisis states, risky forms of behavior, and, overall, the creation of a psychologically favorable educational environment.
