 
                
The autumn issue of the journal "Clinical Psychology and Special Education" (No. 3-2025) has been published, dedicated to a wide range of topics – from the fundamental foundations of self-awareness to practical aspects of social adaptation. The focus of this issue is the role of bodily experience, internal personal resources, and external support in maintaining mental health.
Theoretical research is represented by an article from O.V. Ipatyuk, K.V. Vasin, and P.Kh. Katchieva, in which the authors conducted a review of foreign studies on the role of interoception in emotional regulation, self-awareness, and mental well-being.
The "Empirical Research" section is represented by a broad range of research topics. In the work of A.N. Alyokhin and M.A. Protopopova, a clinical-psychological classification of types of mental development delays in preschoolers is proposed, which could form the basis for a differentiated approach in correctional work. In the research of T.Yu. Sunko and P.V. Grishela, empirical data shows that career readiness in students is linked to internal motivation, a proactive attitude towards the future, and psychological reasonableness. The article by K.K. Klimova and Yu.E. Kravchenko identifies features of emotion perception in people who experience the fear of being laughed at.
Two articles are published on the problems of people with disabilities. A qualitative study by A.I. Khalil reveals the unique experiences, difficulties, and aspirations of adults with autism in starting a family and living independently. The work by a team of authors from Kostroma State University is aimed at finding ways to enhance the psychological well-being of people with disabilities. One of the applied aspects of this task is the creation of inclusive clothing designed with specific conditions in mind.
Issues of positive aging and quality of life in old age are addressed in articles by O.Yu. Strizhitskaya, R.T. Safina, and A.A. Mashyanova with co-authors. For instance, it is shown that personality characteristics and the phenomenon of gerotranscendence contribute to positive functioning in old age. And in a large-scale study conducted in Arkhangelsk, a connection was established between sleep characteristics and psychophysiological indicators in middle-aged and elderly people living in the conditions of the European North of Russia.
Clinical-psychological research in psychiatry is represented by three works. The article by A.V. Vartanov with co-authors presents the results of a study demonstrating a link between the organization of the brain's default mode network and the severity of delusions and hallucinations in schizophrenia. E.M. Smerchinskaya proposed an innovative method for diagnosing speech disorders in patients with schizophrenia through the analysis of patients' written autobiographies. A comparative study of the features of memory impairments in patients with schizophrenia and psychosis induced by the use of new psychoactive substances was conducted by I.A. Alexeev and A.D. Shustov.
The "Methods and Techniques" section is represented by two new tools. The article by S.V. Leonov with co-authors presents a modification of the illness perception questionnaire for assessing athletes' attitudes towards received injuries. E.S. Oshchepkova with co-authors described the development process and the results of testing a drawing test for assessing vocabulary in children aged 4–8 years.
