On November 21, Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE), with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, held a Psychological Online Marathon dedicated to Psychologist's Day. Leading specialists in the fields of psychology and education took part.

MSUPE has been conducting this large-scale marathon since 2023 – during this time, the broadcasts have been viewed by over 25,000 spectators.

Traditionally, experts spoke live in three program blocks: for specialists (educational psychologists, teachers), for parents, and for students.

The five-hour broadcast was hosted by Irina Filippova, Head of the Department for Information Policy and Public Relations at MSUPE.

Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, conveyed his greetings for Psychologist's Day:

"Dear colleagues!

I congratulate you on Psychologist's Day! The psychological service in the education system has been built over many years. Today, it meets all the requirements and priorities of state policy in the sphere of education and upbringing.

It is the psychologist, together with the pedagogical team, who creates a safe educational environment that ensures the unlocking of the personal and creative potential of every student.

The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation pays special attention to creating conditions for providing accessible and high-quality psychological and pedagogical assistance to children, parents, and teachers.

We pay separate attention to increasing the accessibility of psychological support, developing the system for providing crisis psychological assistance to all participants in educational relations. We hold 'Psychology Week' twice a year, which is also timed to coincide with Psychologist's Day.

I express my gratitude for your loyalty to the profession and love for your work, and your constant readiness to share accumulated experience with colleagues.

I wish you professional discoveries, recognition, and achievements for the benefit of children!"

Larisa Falkovskaya, Director of the Department of State Policy for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, in her greeting, noted, in particular:

"On the eve of Psychologist's Day, the grand psychological marathon traditionally starts, providing an opportunity to exchange opinions and best practices in providing psychological and pedagogical assistance.

I hope that all key tasks and vital issues will be discussed both today and throughout our working weekdays and the wonderful holidays that unite us.

Work on providing psychological and pedagogical support in everyday life and, of course, crisis support for families of participants in the special military operation deserves special attention."

Olga Ulyanina, Head of the Federal Coordination Center for Providing Psychological Services in the Russian Education System at MSUPE, also addressed the marathon viewers:

"Dear colleagues, dear friends!

On behalf of the Federal Coordination Center and personally, I cordially congratulate you on the professional holiday—Psychologist's Day!

Your work is not just a profession; it is a true mission and the key to the mental well-being of our children, youth, and, ultimately, our entire society.

You are on the front line, every day helping the younger generation overcome difficulties, unlock potential, and find themselves in this complex world. You are that vital support for students, parents, and teachers. In the context of rapid changes in the modern world, your role is becoming truly key. It is you who create that safe, developmental, and humane environment in educational organizations, without which the harmonious development of personality is impossible.

We, at the Federal Coordination Center, are working together with you to create a unified professional community and provide you with everything necessary for effective work. Our common task is to build a coherent and accessible system of psychological assistance in Russia.

Without your energy, dedication, and professional wisdom, this would be impossible.

On this day, I wholeheartedly wish you inexhaustible mental strength and inner resilience. May your work bring you deep satisfaction, and may the gratitude of those you help be your best reward. I wish you good health, personal happiness, and faith in the significance of what you do.

Thank you for your titanic work, sensitivity, and loyalty to your calling. Happy holiday, dear colleagues, Happy Psychologist's Day!"

Olga Yurchuk, Deputy Head of the FCC MSUPE, congratulated her colleagues and emphasized: "with each year, more and more people understand that our help is nearby, that it is accessible".

A summary of the year's professional results in providing psychological and pedagogical assistance within the education system took the form of a relay of online connections with the chief external educational psychologists from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Crisis competencies in the work of an educational psychologist are exceptionally in demand today. Anna Ermolaeva, Deputy Head of the FCC MSUPE, spoke about these key competencies, covering topics such as self-assessment, the registry of crisis psychologists, the professional community, seminars, and supervisions.

Winners of the 2025 All-Russian Professional Skills Competition "Pedagog-Psychologist" spoke directly to the professional community of educational psychologists about the competition.

During a live broadcast from the MSUPE student center "Rublevo," Ekaterina Anisimova, Head of the Sector for Psychological Support of the Department for Educational and Social Work at MSUPE, spoke about the opening of the MSUPE Military-Patriotic Center. Master classes on first aid, art therapy, sand therapy, working with a neurointerface, and VR training were held in the unique space of the "Rublevo" student center. Ekaterina Anisimova also spoke about the MSUPE Psychological Service – one of the oldest in Russia, established in 2008.

From the speech by Olga Esenina, Head of the Center for Career Guidance and Pre-University Education "PRO PSY" at MSUPE, marathon viewers interested in a future in psychology learned about the Olympiad for schoolchildren "Psychological Science and Education of the Future," Neurotechnology and Cognitive Science Week, Open House Days, the MSUPE School for Young Psychologists, clubs, preparation for the Unified State Exam (EGE) and internal entrance tests, as well as preparation for Master's programs.

A specialist from the FCC MSUPE, Anna Ladygina, spoke about increasing awareness in the use of digital devices and developing skills for restoring resources and healthy rest.

In the practical block for parents, specialists from the MSUPE Children's Helpline and the University Multipurpose Psychological Center of MSUPE discussed how to establish dialogue with a child, filter information to avoid anxiety and burnout, the role of robots and neural networks in a child's life, and cognitive biases in parents—specifically, how habitual thinking in stereotypes prevents them from hearing their child.

We sincerely thank our colleagues and congratulate them on their professional holiday! We wish you strong mental and physical health, optimism, continuous development, productive work, wisdom, joy, and luck on your life's path!
