The year 2026 for the Faculty of Clinical and Special Psychology began with a pleasant event: on January 9, Professor of the Department of Developmental Neuro- and Pathopsychology, Alexander Mikhailovich Kazmin, celebrates his anniversary.
Alexander Mikhailovich belongs to the founding generation of the Faculty of Clinical and Special Psychology at MSUPE. In 2000, at the then-young faculty, he established the Department of Clinical Psychology of Early Childhood, which later became part of the current Department of Developmental Neuro- and Pathopsychology and laid the foundation for a separate student specialization entirely dedicated to the clinical-psychological aspects of early intervention. The direction he initiated continues to be reflected in various programs implemented by the department at all levels of education – in specialist degrees, master's programs, and additional professional education programs.
Over many years of work at the faculty, Alexander Mikhailovich has made a significant contribution to the development of early intervention. Several examples include: practical assistance to young children and their families (development of the "Lekoteka" Psychological, Medical, and Social Support Center); the development and teaching of several original courses on early intervention issues, which have remained relevant for over 10–15 years; participation as an expert in the interdepartmental working group on organizing early intervention. It is a joy that A.M. Kazmin continues his work at the faculty and is ready to share his unique knowledge and experience with students!
The Faculty of Clinical and Special Psychology and the Department of Developmental Neuro- and Pathopsychology express their gratitude to Alexander Mikhailovich for his many years of dedicated work and, on behalf of all staff, congratulate him on his anniversary, wishing him health, and many years of prosperous and productive life!
