Accessibility of Professional Self-Determination: MSUPE at the IV Expanded Meeting of the All-Russian Expert Council on Career Guidance
Moscow served as the venue for a two-day discussion on the future of career guidance: experts, representatives of ministries, and regions gathered on March 23 at the Public Chamber, and on March 24 at Gostiny Dvor to discuss the further development of the career guidance system at the federal and regional levels.
Sergey Gennadievich Kosaretsky, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work at MSUPE, participated in the meetings. On the first day, S.G. Kosaretsky presented key insights on career guidance for children with disabilities and special educational needs. He proposed strengthening the representation of measures for developing the career guidance system within the Interdepartmental Comprehensive Action Plan for the Development of Inclusive General and Supplementary Education, Children's Recreation, and Creating Special Conditions for Students with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs for the long-term period, and suggested holding a special meeting of the Council on this issue.
"For our university, which has been developing the field of inclusive education for many years, the opportunity to present our expert position at such a high level is not only recognition of the university's expertise but also a step towards ensuring that systemic solutions take into account the real needs of children with special needs and their families.
MSUPE's participation in such events allows us to connect the scientific understanding of professional self-determination processes with real practice, which is especially important when building a system capable of considering the interests of every student, regardless of their starting opportunities",
noted the Vice-Rector of MSUPE.
On March 24, at Gostiny Dvor, during the Expanded Meeting of the Council, Minister of Education Sergey Sergeevich Kravtsov outlined priorities for synchronizing school career guidance with personnel forecasts and the needs of the real economy in the regions.
