On Digital Competence of Educators – in the Journal "Psychological-Pedagogical Research"

The first issue of 2026 of the journal "Psychological-Pedagogical Research" (No. 1, 2026) has been published. The issue includes three traditional sections: Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Methodology and Technology of Education.

The "Developmental Psychology" section presents a review of studies on the effect size of digital device use on various aspects of mental development and learning in children aged 3 to 12, as well as the results of a study on the level of digital competence among preschool educators and their readiness to develop digital literacy in preschoolers.

In the "Educational Psychology" section, you can familiarize yourself with the results of studies on the relationship between indicators of behavioral self-regulation and autonomous regulation of learning activities in the second phase of primary school age; the study of the formation and qualitative characteristics of the subject position (student position) and learning motivation in primary school students; age-related changes in the structure of academic motivation among students in grades 4, 8, and 10; the psychological factors influencing video fragments on the process of joint problem-solving in experimental research tasks among adolescents; and gain insight into approaches to understanding conflict competence among teachers in the digital educational environment and teacher agency as a resource for overcoming difficult situations in professional activity.

Authors in the "Methodology and Technology of Education" section introduce the reader to a multi-level model for managing the continuous improvement of professional skills among teaching staff and administrative personnel, demonstrating the importance of developing and implementing variable models of continuity that ensure interdisciplinary integration of general and supplementary education.
