MSUPE Students and Faculty Participate in International Conference on Socialization of Children and Youth in Minsk

From April 7 to 11, a delegation from the Faculty of Social Psychology of MSUPE made a working visit to Minsk, Republic of Belarus, as part of the implementation of a program of joint international scientific and educational events between MSUPE and the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank (BSPU named after M. Tank).

MSUPE was represented by:

  • Tatyana Yuryevna Marinova, Dean of the Faculty of Social Psychology, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor
  • Marina Nikolaevna Raskhodchikova, Associate Professor at the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Social Psychology, Candidate of Psychological Sciences
  • 14 students of the faculty

International Student Conference

On April 8, MSUPE students and faculty participated in the International Student Scientific-Practical Conference "Conditions for Successful Socialization of Children and Youth: Promising Research of Future Teachers, Psychologists, and Social Work Specialists," organized at the Faculty of Social and Pedagogical Technologies of BSPU.

The conference brought together over 130 young scientists from Belarus, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Poland. Dean of the Faculty of Social Psychology T.Yu. Marinova served as Co-Chair of the conference program committee.

During the plenary session, T.Yu Marinova and M.N. Raskhodchikova presented a scientific report titled "Development and Use of Video Cases for Training Educational Psychologists."

Poster Presentations

MSUPE students participated in the poster presentation competition and demonstrated a high level of scientific training, winning awards in all three categories:

Laureate of the 1st Degree:

  • Yulia Zeleneva – "Organization of an Educational Donor Movement in Secondary Schools Based on the Experience of MSUPE"

Laureates of the 2nd Degree:

  • Alisa Mashtakova, Anastasia Berezina – "Physiological and Psychological Significance of Sleep During the Transition from Senior Preschool to Primary School Age (5–8 years)"

Laureate of the 3rd Degree:

  • Ulyana Shekhova – "Prevention of Mental Health Disorders"

Scientific and Educational Program

During the visit, students familiarized themselves with the activities of the Faculty of Social and Pedagogical Technologies of BSPU, visited the departments of Social Pedagogy, Social Work, and Developmental and Pedagogical Psychology, and met with representatives of student self-government. Following the meetings, specific directions for further inter-university cooperation were outlined: joint research and publications, participation in conferences, and academic mobility programs.

Cultural Program

Parallel to the scientific activities, the participants became acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage of Belarus. The program included:

  • A tour of the historical center of Minsk – from Independence Square to the Upper Town.
  • A visit to the "Grand Duchy of Sula" interactive history park-museum and the St. Joseph Church in Rubezhevichi together with BSPU students.
  • A visit to the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus (ballet "Swan Lake") and the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theater (musical "Roman Holiday") together with BSPU students.
  • A visit to the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus.
  • A visit to the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.
