RUMC of Higher Education and National Values of Russia: All-Russian Strategic Session Held in Cherepovets

From April 14–16, an All-Russian Strategic Session of Resource Educational and Methodological Centers for the Education of Persons with Disabilities, "RUMC HE and National Values of Russia: From Education to Successful Career," was held at Cherepovets State University. The purpose of the event was professional discussion and design of approaches to integrating Russian national values into the inclusive higher education system as a basis for the transition from education to a successful career for graduates with disabilities and special educational needs.

The main focus of the strategic session was the development and improvement of mechanisms for forming traditional Russian spiritual and moral values in students with disabilities and special educational needs during the organization and conduct of all-Russian events within the network of Resource Educational and Methodological Centers in the higher education system (RUMC HE).

The three-day program included: a plenary session with representatives of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and the Russian Society "Znanie"; strategic planning activities; a project workshop; a hackathon; a workshop; trainings and master classes (prevention of professional burnout, change management, learning through service, use of artificial intelligence in inclusive education); podcasts; and public defenses of team projects.

Invited participants included directors and deputy directors of RUMC HE, heads of the RUMC HE network project office, as well as leading Russian experts, scientists, and practitioners in the field of inclusive higher education. More than 60 representatives of RUMC HE from across the country took part in the strategic session.

RUMC MSUPE was represented at the session by Tatyana Semyonovna Ivanova, Director of the Center, and Anna Dezhnyova, Specialist in Educational and Methodological Work. The results of collaboration with MSUPE were recognized with letters of gratitude – for a high level of engagement and professionalism in the strategic design and planning of federal events within the RUMC HE network.
