Seminar on International Cooperation in the Development of Inclusive Higher Education Held at RUMC MSUPE

On May 26, the Resource Educational and Methodological Center for the Education of Persons with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs (RUMC) of Moscow State University of Psychology and Education (MSUPE) organized and held, as part of the "Inclusion in Higher Education" seminar series, a scientific-methodological seminar on the topic: "International Cooperation in the Development of Inclusive Higher Education."

Olga Nikolaevna Vericheva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Social Work at Kostroma State University, and Burulsun Sharshenovna Suyunalieva, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek, presented the experience of the CIS countries and China on "Organization and Conduct of International Winter Schools as a Model for the Development of Inclusive Higher Education."

Our colleagues from the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank presented on the topic "Model of the International Winter School as an Effective Practice for Implementing Inclusive Higher Education in the Republic of Belarus":

Mechanisms of network interaction and academic mobility to ensure the accessibility and quality of inclusive education in the People's Republic of China were presented to the seminar participants by:

  • Du Yupeng, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Head of the Scientific Center for the Study of Russian Spiritual Culture, Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, People's Republic of China.
  • Qin Lidong, Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages, International Cooperation Specialist, Harbin, People's Republic of China.

The scientific-methodological seminar allowed participants to:

  • Identify organizational and content models of international winter schools as an effective practice for implementing inclusive higher education in the CIS countries and the PRC.
  • Substantiate mechanisms of network interaction and academic mobility to ensure the accessibility and quality of inclusive education.
  • Structure the procedure for disseminating best inclusive educational practices in the context of implementing the CIS Strategy (2026–2030), (clause 16, Education) and the draft Strategy for the Development of Cooperation among CIS Member States on the Implementation of the Principle of Inclusion in Education.

As a result of the seminar, RUMC MSUPE received an invitation for international cooperation in the field of inclusive higher education from Harbin Engineering University of the People's Republic of China.
