Congratulations on Knowledge Day from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin
Dear friends!
I am sincerely glad to congratulate all schoolchildren and students of our vast country, your parents, family and friends, teachers, instructors, and mentors on Knowledge Day.
The beginning of the academic year is always a special holiday. It is filled with attention and hope, the joy of connecting with friends, and bright, kind feelings that unite all generations.
Special, warmest congratulations to first-graders. A completely new stage of life is beginning for you – responsible and exciting. School is not only lessons; it is a vast world where you will make many discoveries. I wish you great success, and your mothers, fathers, grandparents will always support you.
Undoubtedly, each of you – today's schoolchildren and students – is thinking about the future, about who you will become and what results you will achieve. I am confident: your dreams, with proper diligence and persistence, will surely come true. Our task, all adults, is to help you become worthy people, find your true calling, do everything to ensure your abilities are fully developed, and that you can confidently conquer your chosen heights, relying on modern knowledge, our traditions, and culture.
Of course, in learning, as in life, there are difficult moments, complex tasks, and exams. It is important to believe in yourself and always move forward. A vast space of opportunities lies before you. This includes not only a wide range of programs for schoolchildren and students but also new large-scale projects that are currently starting and underway in the economy, science, education, and high technology.
We all want Russia to become stronger, and for you, our young citizens, to see new horizons ahead, to succeed in your profession, to receive genuine satisfaction and joy from your work, and to know that it benefits people, your hometown or village, and our entire great country.
Today, advanced technologies are entering all spheres of life, including schools, colleges, and universities. But there are things they cannot replace – the warmth of human communication, the wise word of a teacher, friendship, mutual support, and shared dreams.
Special words of gratitude to your teachers and mentors. They care about you as if you were their own, striving to pass on and instill in you the values that make us one people, one country. And I have no doubt that years and decades from now, you will remember their advice, care, and sincere involvement in your life with deep gratitude.
I wish you to always strive for new knowledge and discoveries, to value and cherish your friends and loved ones, and, of course, always remember that it is you who will continue the history of victories and achievements of our great Motherland.
