Fourth-year student of the Faculty of Extreme Psychology at MSUPE, Dana Alekseevna Zakharova, gained experience working with children at the International Children's Center "Artek" from April to August 2026.

As a camp counselor, Dana Zakharova helped children adapt to the new environment, introduced them to Artek's traditions, conducted getting-acquainted and team-building games, organized squad activities and creative performances. Special attention was paid to the children's emotional state, maintaining a favourable atmosphere in the group, and resolving conflict situations.

Working with children of different ages and personalities allowed the student to apply the knowledge gained at MSUPE and develop skills in individual approach and building trusting relationships. An important part of the professional experience was interaction with Artek's educators and psychologists, as well as familiarization with methods for analysing relationships within a children's group.

"This experience gave me a lot. I learned to find an individual approach to children, build trusting relationships, adopted the experience of colleagues, and communicated with professional psychologists. I am incredibly happy that I got to Artek and would like to return there for new experience", shared Dana Zakharova.

Working at Artek became an important stage in the student's professional development and an opportunity to gain valuable experience interacting with children in a rich educational and upbringing environment.

The Faculty of Extreme Psychology at MSUPE is proud of Dana Zakharova and her aspiration to develop in her chosen profession, gain new experience, and apply MSUPE knowledge in working with children. We wish her further professional success, new opportunities, and bright achievements!
