MSUPE Volunteer Association "Trusted Students" Launches a Series of Video Podcasts

Since 2019, the volunteer association "Trusted Students" (project "Trusted Students") has been actively developing at our university, created to accompany and support students with disabilities and special educational needs during their studies at MSUPE.

The project continues to develop; our participants in the volunteer association "Trusted Students" announce the launch of a series of video podcasts about the life and opportunities of people with visual impairments.

• Technologies and useful solutions for people with visual impairments.

The project is created by an inclusive team of students within the volunteer association "Trusted Students" and aims to raise awareness and understanding of the specifics of life for people with visual impairments.

Authors of the idea: Nastasya Vadimovna Kirsanova, psychologist at RUMC, head of the "Trusted Students" association; Daria Ivanovna Shibanova, student at the Faculty of Information Technologies; Anna Denisovna Zhuravleva, student at the Faculty of Educational Psychology; Sergey Andreevich Musanov, student at the Faculty of Distance Learning.

Any MSUPE student ready to help persons with disabilities and develop inclusive volunteering at the university can join the association.

The activities of the "Trusted Students" association are carried out on the basis of the Resource Educational and Methodological Center for the Education of Persons with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs (RUMC). The work of the association is coordinated, strategic guidance and inter-structural interaction are provided by the Director of RUMC, Tatyana Semyonovna Ivanova. Thanks to this coordination, the association gains access to the center's resources and the support of the university's administrative structures.

Interaction with the RUMC HE network for the development of inclusive volunteering covers not only university events but also regional and All-Russian events, which expands opportunities for students of our university, including students with disabilities.

The head of the "Trusted Students" association, RUMC psychologist Nastasya Vadimovna Kirsanova, interacts directly with association participants, including students with disabilities, monitors requests from students with disabilities, coordinates the work of volunteers, and assists in preparing for and participating in competitions and projects.
