The Federal Resource Center for ASD at MSUPE Held a Series of Training Webinars for Specialists of the Ryazan Region
On September 28–29, during the Year of Preschool Education, the Federal Resource Center for the Comprehensive Support of Children with ASD (FRC ASD MSUPE) , in accordance with a request from the Ministry of Education of the Ryazan Region, held a series of webinars for educators of the Ryazan Region. The organizer was the Center for Psychological-Pedagogical, Medical, and Social Assistance of the Ryazan Region.
A group of 60 specialists from preschool educational organizations gathered at School No. 76 named after N.N. Chumakova in Ryazan to find answers to pressing questions in the field of education and psychological-pedagogical support for children with ASD.
The webinars were conducted by practicing specialists from the FRC ASD MSUPE with many years of experience working with children with autism.
Webinar participants:
- Examined the characteristics of children with ASD and the causes of undesirable behaviour, ways to prevent and correct it.
- Discussed approaches to the formation and development of skills necessary for a child with ASD to be part of a children's group.
- Analyzed games that promote the development of social interaction between children with ASD and adults and peers.
- Identified the special educational needs of children with ASD and approaches to organizing a developmental subject-spatial environment for a child with ASD in a kindergarten group.
- Examined techniques for adapting materials for the successful mastery of the preschool education program by students.
- Determined forms of productive interaction with parents raising preschool children with ASD.
The online format of the webinars allowed participants to ask questions, analyze cases, and solve practical tasks, which contributed to enhancing their professional competencies.
The Federal Resource Center at MSUPE continues its work on supporting Russian regions and developing a professional community of specialists providing quality preschool education.
