From September 14 to 17, students from the MSUPE Faculty of Information Technologies majoring in Film and Television Directing took part in the 21st "Won Together" Vladimir Menshov International Film Festival in Moscow. This international cultural event brings together documentary filmmakers from across the globe who explore the theme of victory across various spheres of life. The filmmakers focus on significant historical and contemporary events, collective memory, human destinies, heroism, and overcoming hardship. The festival was organized by the World Peoples’ Assembly and the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

“Our student directors have been helping organize this major film forum for nearly a decade. They create subtitles, design poster layouts, write synopses, edit trailers, welcome international guests, and facilitate communication with audiences and festival attendees, thereby discovering new films and contemporary directors. This provides valuable hands-on experience for emerging specialists. Several of our students began their professional journeys with this internship and subsequently went on to build careers as directors,” noted Victoria Andreevna Fomina, head of the MSUPE student volunteer team and Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Informatics and Multimedia Technologies.

The festival organizers expressed their gratitude to MSUPE Rector A.A. Margolis for the extensive and skilled volunteer assistance provided by the students.
