An Information Meeting on Safety and Legal Competence was Held for International Students at MSUPE
On November 5, an information meeting between university staff and international students was held at the MSUPE International Affairs Office.
Vice-Rector for External Relations Kh-A.S. Khaladov and Head of the Office E.E. Mikhedova warmly welcomed the meeting participants, wished the students a comfortable adaptation to their new environment, and emphasized that the university is ready to provide comprehensive support.
Safety issues were highlighted by specialized university experts. Yu.N. Ivanov, Head of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, spoke about the basics of anti-terrorist security and the prevention of extremist manifestations: how to recognize potentially dangerous situations, where to report suspicions, and what precautions to observe in everyday life.
Special attention was paid to fire safety rules. V.N. Pritula, Head of the Department of Fire Safety, detailed the procedure to follow in the event of a fire, evacuation rules, and basic precautions. An important part of the program was a practical fire drill, where students practiced using a fire extinguisher.
The concluding information segment of the meeting was dedicated to the rules of stay, migration legislation, and its recent changes. In addition to the main provisions of the legislation, M.A. Arkharova, Head of the Sector for Work with International Students, provided detailed comments on common mistakes that cause problems with document extension and gave recommendations on how to avoid them.
Following the meeting, all interested attendees were able to ask their questions and receive individual consultations. MSUPE continues its systematic work to support and ensure the safety of international students.
