Types and Amounts of Scholarships and Forms of Financial Support for Students at MSUPE

Scholarship payments and other forms of financial support at MSUPE are provided based on the following criteria: they are available to full-time students funded by federal budget allocations, enrolled in undergraduate, specialist, and master's programs, as well as to postgraduate and doctoral students.

Types of scholarships awarded at MSUPE:

State Academic Scholarships, including increased scholarships.
State Scholarships for Postgraduate and Doctoral Students.
State Social Scholarships, including increased scholarships.
Presidential Scholarship of the Russian Federation.
Government Scholarship of the Russian Federation.
Named Scholarship of the Government of Moscow .

Scholarship Amounts Established at MSUPE from October 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025:

State Academic Scholarship for first-year students (citizens of the Russian Federation, international students, and stateless persons) during their first semester – 2,067 RUB per month;
State Academic Scholarship for students who passed their exams with "good" grades, students who passed with a mix of "good" and "excellent" grades, and international students studying within the quota established by the Government of the Russian Federation (regardless of academic performance, except for international students who passed with "excellent" grades) (Category 1) – 2,400 RUB per month;
State Academic Scholarship for students who passed their exams with "excellent" grades, including international students and stateless persons (Category 2) – 3,400 RUB per month;
State Social Scholarship – 3,600 RUB per month;
Increased State Social Scholarship, which includes both the state academic and state social scholarships, plus an additional 7,919 RUB per month, ensuring a total amount not less than the subsistence minimum per capita in the Russian Federation for Q4 2022 (set at 13,919 RUB). The additional payment is set until December 31, 2024;
Increased State Academic Scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis to students in higher education programs (bachelor’s, specialist, master’s) for outstanding achievements. The amount is determined individually for each competition based on ranking scores and their distribution across categories and is set by the university rector's order for each semester following competitive selection;
Presidential and Government Scholarships of the Russian Federation – amounts determined by the respective authorities;
Named Scholarship of the Government of Moscow – 6,500 RUB per month.

Scholarship Amounts for Postgraduate Students at MSUPE (October 1, 2024 – January 31, 2025):

State Scholarship for Full-Time Postgraduate Students funded by federal budget allocations – 4,400 RUB per month;
State Scholarship for Full-Time Postgraduate Students in higher education programs preparing scientific and pedagogical personnel in postgraduate studies in the following scientific specialties:
- 05.13.01 – System Analysis, Management, and Information Processing
- 19.00.05 – Social Psychology
(According to List No. 654) – 9,440 RUB per month.

Forms and Amounts of Financial Support for Students in Need at MSUPE:

One-Time Financial Support for students from socially disadvantaged and preferential categories. The amount is determined individually by the MSUPE Social Commission based on a personal application and supporting documents.
One-Time Financial Aid for students in need. The amount is determined by the MSUPE Social Commission based on a personal application and supporting documents.
Financial Support for Students in Urgent Need, provided by the Public Organization of Employees and Students of State and Commercial Higher Educational Institutions of Moscow (APOS), funded by the Moscow city budget – 1,200 RUB per month.
