PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The program follows the best traditions of teaching clinical psychology in higher educational institutions. The program combined the experience and achievements of teaching the classical divisions of clinical (medical) psychology, developed by outstanding Russian psychologists A. Luria, B. Zeigarnik, S. Rubinstein, Y Polyakov, V. Lebedinsky and their followers. A special feature of this program – teaching of clinical psychology of children, adolescents and their families. Specialists in pediatric clinical psychology deal with problems that arise during the normal mental development of a child, as well as with problems related to somatic, genetic and mental diseases. They help children and parents cope with painful medical procedures, loss of previous abilities, fear of death, anger and resentment at their fate, depression and confusion due to illness, depression, anxiety, difficult behavior, envy of their healthy peers, etc.LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the program you will be able to:- analyze socially significant problems and processes, use the methods of social sciences in professional activities;
- use basic methods of mathematical analysis, statistical platforms for data processing;
- use current achievements of anatomy, physiology, neuroscience and comparative psychology in the planning and implementation of psychological and pedagogical activity;
- analyze the basic mechanisms of the formation of mental processes, states and individual differences, taking into account the anthropometric, anatomical and physiological features of children and adolescents;
- use a subject-oriented approach in professional activity to interact with children and their parents;
- provide psychological counseling for children, adolescents and young men (girls) on issues of emotional and behavioral disorders, difficult life situations and other topics.

You can work as a clinical psychologist in healthcare institutions, institutions of education and social aid, public and economic organizations, administrative and law enforcement agencies, research and consulting organizations.
