Faculty of Social Psychology
The first faculty in Russia specializing in the training of social psychologists.
Social psychologists study human behavior in society: how we perceive other people and influence them. Unlike sociologists, social psychologists mainly consider internal rather than external aspects that determine human behavior in different social situations. The faculty has been part of the university since its founding and is known for its long tradition. Our faculty was the first in the country to train counseling psychologists – professionals who will provide psychological assistance to people in various areas of life.

Faculty of Legal Psychology
Legal psychology studies the behavior of people who have encountered the law enforcement system in various
circumstances.
Legal psychologists conduct psychological examinations of the accused, investigate the psychology of witness
testimony, develop rational methods of interaction with victims. They do everything necessary so that lawyers can

Faculty of Extreme Psychology
Extreme psychology studies the psychological patterns of human activity in special, extreme situations: during
aviation or space flights, underwater, underground, while being in hard-to-reach areas. In addition, it studies the
psychological characteristics of people who have to work in danger.
The faculty teaches to provide psychological assistance to children and adolescents who have suffered in extreme

Modern information and communication technologies allow everyone to receive higher psychological education – the
people with different health conditions and in different life situations.
The faculty provides an opportunity to get a higher education in psychology to students from remote regions,
without interrupting their main job and location. The faculty also teaches students with disabilities, helps them

The Institute of Inclusive Education Problems was established in July 2009. The purpose of the institute is to promote and implement an inclusive approach in Russian education, to provide scientific and methodological support for the development of inclusive education at all levels of the Russian educational system.

The faculty provides programs of futher professional education — advanced learning (programs that take from 16 to
250 hours) and professional retraining (programs over 250 hours).

Unesco Chair of Cultural-Historical Psychology
